North Korea threat: New survey reveals Americans worried by nuclear threats, The North Korea threat is being taken seriously by many Americans this week it seems, as the Political Ticker reported this Monday, April 8, that according to a recent CNN survey, a majority of U.S. citizens are “actively listening” to the alarming nuclear threats made by North Korea against the U.S. and South Korea.

The new CNN International poll has also revealed for the first time regarding the North Korea threat that a rising number of Americans have now become pessimistic in terms of the Korean nuclear missile issue being solved through solely economic or diplomatic means.

Approximately 41% of Americans now view the North Korea threat as an immediate danger, noted the survey results, which is a record high for that viewpoint.

"If North Korean leader Kim Jong Un wanted to get the attention of the American public, his strategy is starting to work," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland. "The 41% who now consider North Korea an immediate threat to the United States is up 13 percentage points in less than a month."

Only 16% of Americans in the CNN poll viewed North Korea as non-threatening, while an equal 41% said that the regime does not pose immediate danger, but is a long-term threat to America.

North Korea has recently issued nuclear arms’ related threats again and again against South Korea and the U.S. in recent weeks, becoming only more vocal after the U.N. Security Council enforced stricter regulations against nuclear testing in Pyongyang earlier this 2013.

South Korea announced this Sunday regarding the North Korea threat that they believe Pyongyang could conduct a full nuclear missile test before the end of the week after having moved certain materials down to the coast.
