Billy Bretherton has a son, Bryce, Billy Bretherton and his wife Mary have some legal troubles they are trying to resolve.
Complicating matters is that his reality show “Billy the Exterminator” is currently in its fifth season.
However, the Bretherton’s recently issued a “not guilty” plea in July following their voluntary surrender on misdemeanor charges stemming from their use of synthetic marijuana which is considered a dangerous illegal drug in their home state of Louisiana. Further complicating matters are that Billy has a son whose name is Bryce.
They were charged with possession of the drug and for the marijuana smoking device.
The Bretherton’s may have been using a bit too much of the substance back in April when someone at their hotel room dialed 911 and hung up. That prompted a visit by local police to ensure no one at harm.
Their inspection of the premises turned up the synthetic marijuana and after lab tests proved it was an illegal drug warrants were issued for their arrest. The Bretherton’s voluntarily turned themselves in to be booked and had bail posted ahead of their surrender. That allowed them to in-process and exit inconspicuously so avoid the paparazzi waiting outside to cover the story, Parish, attorney Allyn Stroud said Tuesday.
He said Bretherton was given a suspended 60-day jail term and fined $500 and that the reality TV star has agreed to undergo substance abuse evaluation and treatment. Bretherton’s probation requires community service and regular drug and alcohol testing, Stroud said.
When Billy and Mary Bretherton were arrested last year in Bossier Parish, a spokesman for the northwest Louisiana municipality of Bossier City said police answering a 911 hang-up call from a hotel room had found the Brethertons with suspected synthetic marijuana and a device often used to smoke drugs.
