Frozen Sequel Confirmed, The brains behind Disney mega-hit FROZEN have confirmed they're making a sequel. As fans prepare to check out the new short Frozen Fever, which will air in cinemas before the live-action Cinderella film this weekend (13-15Mar15), Disney executives have revealed they've started work on a full length follow-up to the hit 2013 film.
Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee will return to develop the project and Josh Gad has already signed on to reprise his animated snowman character Olaf. The actor broke the news to fans on Thursday (12Mar15), tweeting, "THATS (sic) RIGHT.
#Frozen2 IS COMING!!!" No other official casting news has been announced, but Kristen Bell, who voiced Princess Anna in the original film, tweeted a photo of herself using a bag of ice as a pillow, writing, "Dreams really do come 2!!! #FROZEN2 #itsofficial." Disney boss John Lasseter says, "Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we're taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that." Frozen has grossed $1.2 billion worldwide, making it the most successful animated film of all time.
