Carly Rae Jepsen Tom Hanks

Carly Rae Jepsen Tom Hanks, Two-time Oscar winner Tom Hanks likes teen pop sensation Carly Rae Jepsen so much that he asked to star in the music video for her new single, “I Really Like You,” which debuted online Friday.

Filmed in New York City, the video follows Hanks as he lip-syncs to the song’s lyrics, stops to greet fans, takes selfies and texts in a taxi on the way to meet Jensen.

The bubbly clip features nods to Hanks’ “Forrest Gump” role as well as a gag where a row of women swipe right on the actor’s Tinder profile.

Hanks, still lip-syncing, tells Jepsen he’s pregnant after the final line, “I need to tell you something.”

The Wes Anderson-inspired short culminates in a joyous dance sequence with Hanks, Jepsen and a surprise cameo from Justin Bieber.

Haha. Me, tom hanks, and Carly Rae really like you,” Bieber tweeted about his pal’s new music video.

Jepsen said Anderson’s quirky, highly-stylized films were the inspiration for the video.

She told TIME.com that she wanted to make a video that broke away from the “usual girl-meets-boy storylines.”

“The song is so sweet,” Jepsen said. “I wanted something that would contradict that — a little bit of comedy...or a left turn.”

She also revealed that the star of “Cast Away” volunteered to be in the video after her and Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun told him about Jepsen’s idea for the clip. The unlikely duo met at Braun’s 2014 wedding, setting the stage for the out-of-left-field pairing for the bubbly single.

“It was the coldest day imaginable, and he just showed up and was a champion,” she said about the shoot. “I was in my warm trailer drinking hot chocolate like, ‘Do it again, Tom! Lookin’ good!’"

“I Really Like You” is the first single off Jepsen’s yet-to-be-released third album, which does not yet have a title.
