Scientologist Tom Cruise and Operation Fromage, Today, Nov. 9, 2014, MailOnline published that Tom Cruise had launched his own mission, Operation Fromage. During his filming of the new Mission Impossible while staying at the Marriott Hotel, Peterborough, Cruise's team had checked in under the name to remain anonymous.
Carrying out 'Operation Fromage' left one member of staff red-faced as the waiter didn't recognise the actor and asked him if he had a loyalty card. Cruise, who had been in the Cambridgeshire city to film his next Mission Impossible movie, was reportedly eating breakfast when the waiter made the blunder.
“Cruise had checked into the hotel with production staff for five nights under the name Operation Fromage, which is French for cheese, after the close-by village of Stilton, according to The Sun.”
US Weekly exclusively revealed that Tom Cruise is crushing on his Mission Impossible 5 set assistant, with pictures surfacing of the 22-year-old brunette. Sources say, "He's always flirting with her - most people on the film have noticed how into her he is” - never seeing him crush on anyone so hard!
Wait! The online Gossip Cop was informed by Cruise’s rep that talk linking him to his assistant is “false.”
The Daily Mail then offers this bit of information in an attempt to tie Cruise romantically to his assistant. The paper notes that in September, Cruise was “spotted with a mystery woman who appears to be” his assistant and they were standing “side-by-side as he took a break from filming in London.” Wait, Cruise was busted standing near his assistant on the set of his movie?
The two-days-late story by the Daily Mail is entirely wrong and beyond laughable. Of course, this should not surprise anyone. The paper has a history of being off-base with stories about Cruise and “mystery” women. The paper once pathetically wrote about a dinner Cruise had with a “mystery female companion,” who Gossip Cop revealed was none other than actress Roma Downey.
Although still speculation, photos from September show Emily helping Cruise on set in London with wide smiles at one another while Cruise exits a car. Apparently, "Cruise already asked Emily to go out to dinner with him, on a date, when they're done shooting," the source said.
Cruise has been married three times and has three children (two adopted and one biological). His first marriage was to actress Mimi Rogers on May 9, 1987. Rogers introduced Cruise to Scientology and lasted two years - their divorce was finalized on February 4, 1990.
Cruise met his second wife, actress Nicole Kidman, on the set of their film Days of Thunder in 1989. The couple married on December 24, 1990, and filed for divorce in February.
Cruise was next romantically linked with Penélope Cruz, his co-star in Vanilla Sky. Sources have said that after the breakup with Cruz, the Church of Scientology launched a secret project to find Cruise a new girlfriend.
In April 2005, Cruise began dating actress Katie Holmes with their first public appearance together in Rome. . On November 18, 2006, Holmes and Cruise were married. On June 29, 2012, it was announced that Holmes had filed for divorce from Cruise after five and a half years of marriage. In 2013 Cruise admitted that ex-wife Katie Holmes divorced him in part to protect the couple's daughter Suri from Scientology. He also admitted that Suri is no longer a practicing member of the church.
Many agree with the ‘gossip’ comments left on US Weekly:
“Forget the fact that Tom's is 32 years older than Emily which is already a big red flag. Emily should go read what Katie and Nicole went through with this cult leader. He's the #2 guy in a controlling, destructive cult that actually believes in an alien race called the Galactic Federation. Tom divorced Nicole because she didn't fully accept Scientology & then Tom had Conner & Isabella brainwashed into hating Nicole and they have no relationship with her ever since. Katie planned for months a secret divorce and getaway from Tom because she knew how controlling he & the cult was and didn't want Siri to be brainwashed like Conner and Isabella were. Unless Emily wants to be told how to act, dress and think, she should run as fast she can from this guy.”
“Tom Cruise has been married three times and his oldest child is same age as the girl he's flirting with. Unless his assistant wants to be controlled like a robot, she should avoid Tom Cruise like the plague.”
Aside from what all the gossip Tabloids are saying about Tom Cruise and the possibility that Cruise is dating and romancing, has not been confirmed by Cruise, nor his representatives and handlers. Smiling at his set assistant, has been interpreted as flirting, which is not fact of a romance.
After his father died of cancer Cruse briefly attended a Franciscan seminary in Cincinnati on a church scholarship and aspired to become a Catholic priest.
Scientology’s seduction of Tom Cruise began when he became involved in the cult though his first wife, Mimi Rogers in 1990. For five days in October 1998, Tom Cruise, one of the biggest movie stars in the world, secretly drove into a private parking lot on Hollywood Boulevard, with the yellow Scientology sign atop.
He has said that Scientology, specifically the L. Ron Hubbard Study Tech, helped him overcome dyslexia. Cruise’s slide in popularity evolved with viewers watching him jump up and down on the Oprah Winfrey Show, and making such outrageous statements like,” I think psychiatry should be outlawed.”
Cruise sunk into a deeper hole when he openly criticized women:
“A controversy erupted in 2005 after he openly criticized actress Brooke Shields for using the drug Paxil (paroxetine), an anti-depressant to which Shields attributes her recovery from postpartum depression after the birth of her first daughter in 2003. Cruise asserted that there is no such thing as a chemical imbalance, and that psychiatry is a form of pseudoscience.”
Shields responded that Cruise "should stick to saving the world from aliens and let women who are experiencing postpartum depression decide what treatment options are best for them.”
Medical authorities view Cruise's comments as furthering the social stigma of mental illness that Scientology is well known for in its opposition to mainstream psychiatry and the medication it implements.
