New Orleans Saints' Mark Ingram wants bigger role in offense

New Orleans Saints' Mark Ingram wants bigger role in offense, New Orleans Saints were given a massive boost three weeks ago when star running back Mark Ingram return from a broken hand injury.

After a subdued return against the stout Detroit Lions' defense, Ingram was outstanding in the Saints' 44-23 defeat of the Green Bay Packers.

Ingram immediately backed-up his career performance against the Packers with an awesome display last Thursday against the Panthers, with 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns in New Orleans 28-10 win in Carolina.

MAKING A STATEMENT

To say that Ingram has a point to prove would be an understatement. The out-of-contract back is hell bent on proving his team wrong. Usually asked to play in a shared-carry workload scheme, Ingram spoke over the weekend about his desire to keep getting the mass amount of touches he's had while Khiry Robinson and Pierre Thomas have been out injured the last two weeks.

"I feel like the more carries you get the more you get into a rhythm and the defense starts to wear down a little bit. That's when you can start getting to them in the second-half, like we did tonight," Ingram revealed.
