FOLLOWING HIS BROTHER'S DEATH

Coronation Street star Craig Charles has had to leave the I'm A Celebrity jungle following the death of his brother, Dean.

An ITV spokesperson confirmed the news saying: "Craig decided to leave the IAC camp earlier today (Thursday) and will be heading back to his family in the UK. We send our sincere condolences to Craig and his family."

Reports are suggesting Craig's brother died after suffering a heart attack, but this has not been confirmed.

I'M A CELEBRITY... NEW ARRIVALS

After much speculation, two new campmates have been confirmed for the show. Ex-MP Edwina Currie and X Factor finalist Jake Quickenden are preparing to enter the jungle.

I'M A CELEBRITY: GEMMA COLLINS WAVES BYE BYE

"I'm a celebrity, get me out of here!" With these words TOWIE star Gemma Collins quit the jungle show after just three days. Breaking down, she told the Bush Telegraph she couldn't cope with the "extreme measures" and being so far outside her comfort zone.

In an emotional farewell to fellow celebs, she told them: "I have become a character, a puppet of Gemma that is not the real me and no amount of money would keep me here."

It was no secret that the TOWIE star was having a hard time with the conditions in the camp, but it's one of the fastest walkouts in the show's 14-year history.

She thanked fans for their backing: "Your support is overwhelming and can't thank you enough through a very difficult time," she tweeted.

GEMMA'S TEARS

Gemma Collins walks out of the I'm A Celebrity jungle after just three days.

A spokesperson for the show confirmed her sudden departure: "We're sorry to see Gemma go but respect her decision and wish her well."

TINCHY'S STINKY TASK

Tinchy Stryder entered the Chamber of Horrors for the latest Bushtucker trial - and found himself wading through rotten meat.

NEW DAY, NEW BIKINI

First she fashioned herself a bark bikini, now Nadia Forde is wearing the real thing in the slammer. The Irish model stripped down for a jungle shower.

GEMMA'S MALARIA FEARS

Before she quit, an emotional Gemma said she's worried she has contracted malaria.

She said: "I think I've got it (malaria), I've had the worse diarrhoea ever. I'm dying to go but if I sit in that toilet I can't bear the smell of it... but I can't hold it."

After making a dash for the toilet, she then later got upset and angry when she found out Vicki Michelle had been saved from The Slammer by Jimmy Bullard.

FROM WIMP TO HERO

Jimmy Bullard had a lot to prove after his wimpy performance with Melanie Sykes in his last Bush Tucker Trial in I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here. But this time the ex-footballer proved he was up to the task.

TUNNEL OF TERROR

Jimmy managed to pick up four out of a possible six stars during a terrifying underwater test which saw him coming face to face with Chinese water dragons.

BARK BIKINI

Jimmy wasn't the only celeb to go au naturel in the jungle. Nadia Forde fashioned a 'jungle Jane' bikini from bark to amuse her fellow inmates in the slammer.

GEMMA COLLINS

Gemma had an ice-cold shower on the first episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

The campers were divided into two teams and the blue group, which included the TOWIE star, Nadia Forde, Craig Charles, Vicki Michelle and Carl Fogarty, were thrown into the 'celebrity slammer', a wooden prison crawling with nasties.

But first, they needed to enter the jungle...

GEMMA COLLINS

Gemma had a panic attack before she'd even got near the camp! She and her teammates were taken to a waiting helicopter and were told they'd have to skydive into the jungle, but before they could take off she burst into tears and forced the pilot to stop so she could get out. In the end, she hiked into the jungle.

GEMMA COLLINS

Of course, Gemma also ran into problems on her hike. "I’m really terrified, there could be freaking anything in here – a bloody lion, Komodo dragon," she said. "I should have just got in the chopper, I’m knackered.” At one point, she fell over and started sobbing. “It’s the worst thing I’ve ever done in my life," the TOWIE star announced. "It’s a nightmare, I don’t know why I’ve done it.'

CRAIG CHARLES

Craig Charles and members of the blue team were forced to 'zip line' in to camp in the dead of night, much to their horror.

THE CELEBRITY SLAMMER

The celebrity slammer contains no beds and the campers only had porridge to eat. “Welcome to hell,” Carl said on arrival.

GEMMA COLLINS

The jailed celebrities had to make do with cold showers, and each camper had rely on a shower buddy to pour water over them. "I've never been in a shower that takes so much work, but you’ve got to roll with it, roll with it like Oasis did," Gemma declared.

GEMMA COLLINS

Judging by the shrieks and screams, she wasn't too pleased by the icy dousing.

GEMMA COLLINS

As expected, it looks like the TOWIE star is going to be a needy, high-maintenance camper – she enlisted the help of Carl when she thought she had a bug stuck in her hair.

The Essex girl also got upset when her group was told they wouldn’t be fed for the next two days and would have to make do with the porridge. "I'm leaving," she said. "We're in the slammer and I need some decent food. I can't eat porridge ever again; I'm going to die. If they don't give us a treat, I'm going to kill myself."

MICHAEL BUERK

Members of team red, including Michael Buerk, pictured, were able to enjoy one more night of luxury before they also entered the camp from above, jumping from a helicopter.

KENDRA WILKINSON

Former Playboy Playmate Kendra Wilkinson jumped too, despite having a fear of heights. "This is beyond anything I ever imagined doing. There is no greater fear in my life, I’m so scared," she admitted.

TINCHY STRYDER

Rapper Tinchy Stryder also took the plunge. "This is 100% the scariest thing I’ve ever done," he said beforehand.

MELANIE SYKES AND JIMMY BULLARD

Melanie Sykes and retired footballer Jimmy Bullard waited on the ground to find Scrabble letters inside ‘critter crates’ full of eels, crabs and caymans. She sailed through the task, spelling out the word ‘celebrity’, while Jimmy wasn’t quite so confident.

CROC CREEK CAMPERS

The Croc Creek campers were instructed to choose one person in the slammer to join their camp. They chose superbike champion Carl Fogarty, but it meant he'd have to compete the year's first bushtucker trial.

CARL FOGARTY

Carl's trial was titled Snakes in a Drain. See what they did there?

CARL FOGARTY

Carl was joined in the drain by water snakes and jungle pythons, but he managed to remain in the drain for the full 12 minutes of the trial and won all six available stars.

Carl was greeted by Tinchy as he arrived at Croc Creek Camp.

CROC CREEK

Thanks to Carl's bravery, the lucky campers at Croc Creek had a full meal for their first night in the jungle.
