Big 'Banshee' Girl Power Episode: See Odette Annable's Nola in Action

Big 'Banshee' Girl Power Episode: See Odette Annable's Nola in Action, At first glance, Cinemax's "Banshee" (Fridays at 10 p.m.) could easily be written off as an explosion-a-minute, shoot 'em up dude drama, but the ladies in that town are bringing it — hard enough to make female audiences fall in love with more than just the hunky eye candy.

One of the more mysterious ladies of "Banshee," Nola Longshadow (Odette Annable) is a Native American assassin who's back in town fighting for justice. Nola showed off some serious skills (and insane balance) riding a motorcycle while shooting an automatic weapon in the Season 2 premiere, but our exclusive clip from "The Thunder Man" shows her taking things to new badass levels this week (Friday, Jan. 17 at 10 p.m. on Cinemax).

Executive producer Greg Yaitanes, who also directed this week's episode, gave Yahoo TV a bit more insight into Nola's arc this season.

"She's been pulled back into Banshee, and she's definitely someone that's moved around the country, just a wandering spirit. Episodes 2, 3, and 4 are big episodes for her," Yaitanes teased to Yahoo TV. "When it comes to Nola, we were so intrigued by her character, we wanted to see more of her. We love our female characters. This episode is such a big girl power episode — it's just a great showcase for all our female characters who really hold their own. They can kick ass harder than any men on the show."

As for any early word about another season pickup from Cinemax, Yaitanes seems optimistic: "No Season 3 officially yet ... just saying, I'm confident."
