Man Found In Car In Lake, A man who disappeared after a July Fourth party nine years ago has been found dead in a car pulled from a Delaware County pond.
Delaware County sheriff’s spokeswoman Tracy Whited says the coroner’s office in neighboring Franklin County confirmed the body was that of Anthony “Tony” Luzio Jr.
The 25-year-old Luzio disappeared July 4, 2005, after leaving the party. The car he’d driven was pulled from the pond Tuesday.
The pond was searched after officers identified bodies of water big enough for a car to go into around where Luzio was last seen.
Luzio’s father says the discovery is bittersweet. He says the family always had a bit of hope of finding Luzio but now can put him to rest.
