A source tells the site that Phaedra already has all of the legal docs prepared — she is a lawyer, after all! “Phaedra has been patiently waiting for Apollo to begin serving his prison sentence, and will have him served with divorce papers at the correctional facility in Kentucky,” the source explains.
Claiming that Phaedra has no desire to “put her life on hold” while Apollo is behind bars for the next eight years, the source goes on to say that, unsurprisingly, the couple has had issues for quite some time.
While Phaedra hasn’t confirmed any plans to file for divorce, Apollo’s behavior over the past few days doesn’t bode well for their future. Phaedra’s rep, Steve Honig, confirmed that Apollo paid a surprise visit to her house yesterday when he was supposed to be en route to prison, and additional reports claim he was screaming at Phaedra and demanding money.
The next eight years are bound to be difficult on Phaedra’s boys, but apparently Apollo’s prison term provides her with the perfect opportunity to end their marriage, something she has wanted to do for some time. Radar’s source dishes that Phaedra had feared for her safety in the past, but not anymore. “Having Apollo behind bars gives Phaedra a huge level of comfort and security. It’s sad that it came to this, but Phaedra knows it’s the right thing for her to do,” the insider added.
