Miranda lambert give christmas gifts to dogs, One little girl’s plea to a country superstar to help a shelter full of rescue dogs became a reality on Saturday. WPTV reported on Sept. 21 that animal lover Miranda Lambert paid a visit to the Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Florida before her big concert in West Palm Beach. 6-year-old Riley Weinberger is a volunteer at the shelter and has a big heart for animals, just like her favorite singer does.
The little girl made a sweet YouTube video in August asking Lambert to please stop by the shelter while she was in the area. The video expressed just how much Riley adores the dogs that she cares for and she obviously knew just how much exposure it would bring to the shelter if the country singer toured the facility. Riley got her wish and more!
Not only did Lambert pay a visit, but she is now the proud owner of a beautiful rescue puppy that she picked out to take home with her. The little pooch was adopted and was given the name Bellamy after the Bellamy Brothers. She also made a donation to the shelter to help them in their efforts to give these dogs a forever home. This little pup was about to be euthanized before she was pulled out of the Miami Dade Animal Shelter. This dog's life was saved in the nick of time by the rescue group, which is what their mission is all about.
Riley and her family spent a little time with Lambert during her visit. Eric Weinberger, Riley’s dad, described the blond singer as wonderful and very kind.
Miranda Lambert even tweeted about her visit saying, “I visited Big Dog Ranch Rescue today in West Palm Beach. Amazing place & great people helping so many dogs in need!” She also posted a photo of herself with Riley and also holding the puppy that she adopted. It looks like they all had an exciting time and a pooch found a forever home in the process.
If you are thinking of adopting a pet, please take a look at all of those sweet faces on the facility’s site and their Facebook page.
