Real housewives of beverly hills, Let the drama begin! Season 4 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills kicks off on Monday night, and newcomer Carlton Gebbia says fans are in for a few “explosions” this season. Of course, there will be the usual drama, fighting and friendships, but with some new faces, there’s a whole new dynamic among the Housewives that will set the stage for a very entertaining season.
In an interview with TODAY, Gebbia reveals that things were great between her and the other women…in the beginning, anyway. The newcomer, who’s a practicing Wiccan, did hint that things will go awry later in the season, and that one of the Housewives did take issue with her religion. “I had one very negative experience with one of the housewives that didn’t surprise me,” Gebbia said. “When (this individual) cast aspersions upon me, it wasn’t surprising or shocking. It was beyond ignorance, it was prejudiced. I don’t judge or discuss politics or faith. (But) being on the show, I’m obligated to talk about things.”
The other new cast member, Joyce Giraud de Ohoven, also had some scoop on the new season. She says that she had never watched the show until after she was approached about joining the cast, and then decided it might be a good idea to watch a few episodes and see what she was getting herself into.
“It’s silly when people say they’ve never watched a show that they’re joining, so, yes, I did watch,” she told TODAY. “I had a few preconceived ideas of what the girls would be. In some cases, I was pleasantly surprised that I was wrong. In other cases, I was saddened by the fact that the girls I thought would be great actually were not.” As for who she was pleasantly surprised about? It’s none other than Kyle Richards. She says, “I thought this girl looks like the biggest conniving b—- ever, and I didn’t think I was going to like her.” Turns out, however, that she was wrong, and Kyle is not the Housewife she has to worry about.
Speaking of Kyle Richards, she addressed the rumors that are flying around in advance of the new season. “Everything you’re reading in the tabloids and in the blogs is just hearsay because no one has seen the season yet,” she told TODAY. “(But) they haven’t seen the season yet. You have to watch!”
