Thousands of people were tweeting with "" proving that this day still remains the only one where every American is the same.
Whether you take a moment to reflect today or you go out and thank a firefighter or a police officer, you are not alone. Each and every year on Sept. 11 Americans have more shoulders to lean on than any other day of the year.
The Twin Towers terror attack and the Pentagon strike took over the lives of millions in 2001. For days people watched the news in horror, shared tears, and tried to make sense of such a terrible act. Some are still trying to make sense of it all as they continue to heal.
