Fans Go Crazy Over First One Direction Wedding, We thought One Direction fans couldn't get anymore excited this week with the release of the lads' movie This Is Us, but the announcement that Zayn Malik is engaged to his Little Mix girlfriend Perrie Edwards appeared to have pushed them to new levels of frenzy with 'Zerrie' worshippers taking to Twitter to gush over the news.
Speculation the couple had become engaged after just a year of dating, began when the 19 year-old beauty arrived on the red carpet showing off a pretty gorgeous diamond ring on her left hand, which can only mean one thing - Zerrie are getting married.
The happy news was confirmed today by a rep for the couple who told EntertainmentWise: "Zayn and Perrie are engaged, but any further detail regarding their relationship is private."
It was up to Perrie's mum Deborah to give fans more details telling Real Radio they were over joyed at the happy news: "It's wonderful because Zayn is absolutely gorgeous. It's true they got engaged on Sunday and it's absolutely lovely," the mother-in-law to be gushed. "Perrie loves him to pieces and it's perfect. They get on so well together and understand each other. It's just fabulous."
Debbie also reportedly confirmed the news to the Dorset Echo saying: "It's official. I'm over the moon. They are really in love.”
