While newsroom chatter pegs Kelly’s salary at a hefty six figures, sources tell us his job has been reduced to being nothing more than a mouthpiece for the intensely disliked Allan’s erratic vendettas. “I can’t remember the last time [Keith] broke a big story,” says one media veteran. “Most of the time it seems he isn’t even trying” The down-market tabloid is believed to lose upwards of $70 million a year.
Vanity Fair contributor Monica Lewinsky was spotted dining at Tao Downtown restaurant this week, where she entered with two gal pals. After opening the year by headlining a dog parade in St. Louis, “Run Around” hit-makers Blues Traveler will headline the New York Tent concert in Bohemia, L.I., on April 14. Opening for them will be the Movin’ Out Band, a tribute group that plays songs by Long Island’s favorite piano man, Billy Joel. We’re told that VIPs from Manhattan will be choppered into the Tuesday night show, which is about 30 miles away.
