SuperDry clothing group left reeling as £500k-a-year finance chief steps down - after declaring personal bankruptcy, The financial director of the company behind the successful SuperDry clothing brand has stepped down after declaring himself bankrupt.
Chief financial officer of SuperGroup Shaun Wills received more than £500,000 in pay and bonuses in the last financial year.
SuperGroup, known for its Superdry brand, said in a statement: 'Shaun was made the subject of a personal bankruptcy order on 10 February 2015. This is a personal matter, on which Supergroup will not comment further, and is wholly unrelated to the financial position of the company.'
The resignation comes just two weeks after chief operating officer Susanne Given's sudden and unexplained departure. Cantor Fitzgerald retail analyst Freddie George described the statement as bizarre and said the timing 'could not be worse' following on from the recent departure of Given. More Read
