Sam, the first openly gay NFL player, is engaged to his boyfriend, Vito Cammisano, according to a TMZ report.
Sam, who was drafted by the Rams in the seventh round of the 2014 NFL draft, has been vacationing with his boyfriend in and around Rome, tweeting pictures of the two at the Roman Coliseum.
Sam is currently without a team, after being cut by the Rams, picked up by the Cowboys, then cut from their practice squad.
