Beau Kazer, ‘Young and the Restless’ actor, dies at 63, Beau Kazer has died at the age of 63.
The actor, best known as Brock Reynolds on CBS's long-runner soap opera "The Young and the Restless," passed away on Dec. 30 in Thousand Oaks, Calif., People reports.
Kazer originated the role of Brock in 1974 and continued playing the part until he left the show in 1980. He reprised the role sporadically from 1984 to 2013 last appearing on the show to celebrate the life of Jeanne Cooper and her character, Katherine Chancellor, who was Brock's mother.
Survived by his wife, Sharon Alkus, the Ontario, Canada, native also appeared in shows like "General Hospital," "Hart to Hart" and "B.J. and the Bear."
"'The Young and the Restless' has lost another of its own," Daniel Goddard, who plays Cane Ashby, on the show wrote on Facebook Tuesday. "RIP Beau Kazer. I remember the first time I heard your voice and thought wow! This guy should have been in radio! Then I watched u act and was blown away with how natural and honest your performances always were. God Bless."
No further details about the cause of his death has been released.
