Michael Lohan six children by three women, DNA results revealed in dramatic fashion on "The Trisha Goddard Show" Thursday proved Michael Lohan is the father of a Montana teen sired while he was married to ex-wife Dina in the mid-90s.
"While I'm sorry it took so long, we finally got the answer, and I'm 100% happy with it," Michael Lohan told the Daily News as he rushed to catch a plane Thursday. "We're all okay with it and will deal with it in the best way we can."
The 52-year-old previously denied paternity and refused to provide financial support, leading ex-flame Kristi Horn Kaufmann to take her case to the media.
Kaufmann said her daughter Ashley, now 17, was born from a sexual relationship with Michael Lohan squeezed between the births of his two youngest kids with Dina.
They have four kids together: Lindsay, 26, Michael, 24, Aliana, 18, and Dakota, 16.
The much-maligned dad said he regretted not taking responsibility for Ashley sooner.
"I apologized to her. I thought there were other men besides me (in her mom's life)," he told The News.
"We're having and will have a good relationship," he said of the teen. "I've spoken to her four times since (filming the segment) last week."
He also stressed he was separated from Dina for eight months at the time he impregnated Kaufmann.
Dina Lohan, 50, cited her ex-hubby's philandering when she filed for divorce.
Kaufmann, meanwhile, burst into tears on Goddard's show when Ashley opened up the test results and responded with a sly, tight-lipped smile.
Michael Lohan stood and tried to hug Ashley, but she quickly resisted saying, "No, no, no."
"This is the first time I've met you. I'm sorry but I'm not sure…" the teary-eyed teen with long brown hair said amid audience gasps.
Michael Lohan said he hopes Ashley, Lindsay and all his kids will get to know each other in the future. He also has a baby due in January with fiancé Kate Major.
"I'll never force it, but I certainly hope (my other kids) would want it. Kate has been fantastic. And Kristi and Ashley have said the same. They'd like to know the baby."
He said he's already spoken to court officials in Montana and will visit with Ashley when he flies to the state to handle the child support settlement.
Before opening the test results envelope on camera, Ashley warned she only wanted the truth.
"I don't want to be a part of what they've called the Lohan train wreck," she said.
