The Drop Dead Diva star and her artist husband Al Ridenour are divorcing, according to Us Weekly.
'It's been really, really hard for her,' a source told the magazine on Saturday. 'She's going through a really rough time and she's really sad about it.'
The 46-year-old bisexual funnygirl married Al, 53, in 2003 and spoke on the tenth anniversary about the success of the unconventional union.
She told Queerty.com: 'It’s about creating family. It’s about creating the relationship that you’re meant to create.
'I’m all about commitment. And I’m all about marriage. And I’m all about family. And I’m queer also.
'A lot of people have questioned my marriage and questioned the validity of my marriage, but I’ve been married 51 times longer than Kim Kardashian and that guy she was with. 51 times longer. 51 times! I mean that’s, like, significant.'
And during an appearance on The Real last year she explained: 'I'm married to a man but I'm bisexual so I like both.
'We got together because ... we both have this (idea), "I just don't want to have sex with the same person my whole life. That's just gross."'
Margaret went on to say that their house is big enough that if the other one has lovers home they stay on separate sides of the property.
'We have a really big house,' she said.
'It's kind of like if we wanna have that, it's like, "You can stay on your side or I'll stay on my side."
"When I see her, I'll make her dinner. ... Oh yeah. I've definitely been in the house."'
