“The first two teeth are gone,” Hannigan, 40, told PEOPLE of daughter, Satyana Marie, 5½, at Thursday’s Disney on Ice presents Let’s Celebrate! in Los Angeles.
“The first one … she pulled it out herself. It was dangling there. I said, ‘Get the camera!’ And we got it on video.”
Just two weeks later, a second tooth was ready to come out, but this time, the actress stepped in to offer a helping hand.
“She was getting frustrated. She kept saying, ‘You do it.’ So I was wiggling it and then I pulled it,” shares Hannigan. “She gave me this look like, ‘See? You can’t do it either!’ And I showed it to her in my hand. She was blown away.”But pulling her daughter’s loose tooth came with a silver lining.
“I’m glad I pulled that one out — that was the one she bit me with when I was still breastfeeding,” jokes Hannigan. “Sweet revenge! I really didn’t like that second tooth!”
Hannigan, who is also mom to daughter, Keeva Jane, 2½, with husband Alexis Denisof, may one day be preparing her children for another life experience: going to band camp!
“Oh my God,” the American Pie star says with a laugh when asked what she’d do if her kids wanted to follow her character Michelle’s legendary band camp footsteps. “I’ll just say, ‘Don’t tell anyone who your mom is!’ “
