Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer Description, Apparently we’re close to the release of the first official Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer. Like, really close: four or five weeks away. The hype is growing, and people are becoming restless. Well, a description of the trailer has leaked on the internet. This is just a rumor at the moment, and may be completely wrong, but it’s nice to hope!
According to sources, it’ll be short. Really short. About one minute length. According to Badass Digest:
It’s going to have The Force Theme played on woodwinds, softly, over flashing images of the main leads, each fading to black. There’s no dialogue, just reveals of the characters.
And then the music swells up into a full orchestral piece – perhaps what John Williams recorded this weekend? – and we hear a female voice, likely Daisy Ridley’s, saying “Wake up.”
And then the title card appears – Star Wars: The Force Awakens – and we see the Millennium Falcon, firing blasters, coming right at the camera.
And that would certainly be enough to get fans excited! Even the description above was enough to get me excited! The Millennium Falcon is such an iconic ship, it will be remarkable to see it in action again after all these years.
Star Wars Episode VII was announced after The Walt Disney Company bought Lucasfilm in 2012 for $4 billion. Episode VII will be the first film in a planned trilogy. as well as several spin off films. The film is set to take place 30 years after Return of the Jedi, and stars the main cast members of the original trilogy, including Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher.
Star Wars wrapped principle photography earlier this month, and is now deep in post-production. There has been no official word yet on any details of the film, however Anthony Daniels, the man inside C-3PO, has made comments to how great the film will be.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens, directed by JJ Abrams, is expected December 18, 2015.
