Ratings: AMAs Slip, Football Pops, Mulaney Down, Madam Sec'y Eyes Gain, ABC’s broadcast of the American Music Awards on Sunday night drew 11.6 million total viewers and a 3.8 demo rating, down 10 and 16 percent year-over-year but scoring its best numbers in a decade among Teens 12-17.

Providing extra-stiff competition for the AMAs was NBC’s well-watched Sunday Night Football match-up between the Cowboys and Giants (19.8 mil/7.1), which was up 9 and 18 percent from last week’s fast nationals.

CBS | Pending final adjustments due to NFL overrun, Madam Secretary (12.6 mil/1.8) is currently up 20 percent in the demo, The Good Wife (10.1 mil/1.4) inched up one tenth and CSI (7.9 mil/1.3) was flat.

FOX | Mulaney christened its earlier time slot with 1.6 mil and a 0.7, down some 20 percent from its most recent performance. Without an NFL lead-in, The Simpsons (3.5 mil/1.6), Brooklyn Nine-Nine (3 mil/1.5), Family Guy (2.5 mil/1.2) and Bob’s Burgers (1.9 mil/0.9) all slipped sharply week-to-week.
