And Amanda Seyfried seemed to be overjoyed to be spending time with her canine companion Finn as she took him for a long walk in New York on Monday. The 28-year-old actress and her fluffy friend looked completely in tune with each other as they ambled along together in the park.
Evidently keen to pound the pavements during her power walk, Amanda showed off her svelte frame in a pair of tight black leggings and yellow T-shirt.
The actress, who is currently filming Ted 2 with Mark Wahlberg, kept the cold at bay with a black hooded jacket and teamed her exercise clothes with a pair of sensible aqua trainers.
The blonde beauty went make-up free for her day of exercise, and protected her eyes behind a pair of dark shades while her hair was pulled back into a tight ponytail.
Amanda was also wearing headphones presumably to listen to music as she pounded the pavement. But while Amanda may have been dressed down in casual clothing, Finn certainly wasn't.
The adorable pooch wore a fetching orange printed bandana around his neck to complement his gleaming fluffy brown coat.
Finn - an Australian shepherd - has become something of a celebrity in his own right thanks to his famous owner.
On Monday, the Lovelace actress, who rarely steps out without the adorable animal, posted a photo to the account of him playing the piano which was captioned: 'READY FOR MY AMA. #AMAS #pawsonthepiano'
However while Finn has a lot of fans, it seems not everyone can tolerate the pooch.
According to website Classicalite , some of the cast and crew of Ted 2 have found Finn's presence to be disturbing during filming.
A source told them: 'Amanda brings Finn to the set every day -- and it's becoming a real problem.
'The dog barks and cries when Amanda is filming and it delays production.'
MailOnline have contacted a representative of director Seth McFarlane for comment.
