FX(X) Sets Premiere Dates for The Americans, Justified's Final Run, Always Sunny, and More, Break out the whiskey, put on Fleetwood Mac's "Tusk," get ready ready to blow some sh*t up, and grab your datebooks! Sibling networks FX and FXX have announced premiere dates for their midseason shows—including the '80s-set spy drama The Americans and the Timothy Olyphant- and Walton Goggins-starring Justified, which is headed into what is sure to be an explosive final season—and I'm so excited that I kind of want to just skip Christmas and get straight to January.
But before we get to the new stuff, let's finish out the freakish: American Horror Story: Freak Show will return from its short winter hiatus (it'll be dark on December 24 and December 31 for Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, respectively) on Wednesday, January 7 at 10pm with three freaky final episodes. The season finale will air January 21.
And now, onward!
Newly de-ISIS'd animated spy comedy Archer will return for Season 6 on Thursday, January 8 at 10pm on FX.
The following week, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia will celebrate its tenth season (!!!!!) with a round of beers at Paddy's Pub starting on Wednesday, January 14 at 10pm on FXX, followed by the debut of the network's newest comedy Man Seeking Woman at 10:30pm. Starring Jay Baruchel as a naive twenty-something, the series chronicles the ups and downs of his search for love. But lest you worry that FXX has gone soft, listen to this logline: He'll experience "one-night stands, painful break-ups, a blind date with a troll, time travel, sex aliens, many deaths, and a Japanese penis monster named Tanaka on his fantastical journey to find love." I'm not making this up! And I'm definitely going to add the show to my DVR rotation.
Later in the month, Justified will kick off its sixth and final season—which will pit Raylan and Boyd against one another in a battle royale of eloquent dialogue—on Tuesday, January 20 at 10pm on FX. If the latest trailer is any indication, it's possible that not everyone is going to be leaving Harlan alive.
And last but certainly never least, Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys will return for the third season of The Americans on Wednesday, January 28 at 10pm on FX.
