ECHL players fight while wearing Batman, Riddler jerseys

ECHL players fight while wearing Batman, Riddler jerseys, The highly anticipated Heroes Night in Toledo as the ECHL's Walleye took on the Evansville IceMen, lived up to the expectations for the home crowd. The game was notable because the two teams were wearing special commemorative jerseys to auction off after the game for charity.

The hometown Walleye wore jerseys replicating Batman from the 1960s television series, while the IceMen were wearing jerseys mocked up to look like supervillain The Riddler.

So, naturally, the sworn enemies would have to fight on the ice just as they would in some abandoned warehouse or something.

With Evansville trailing 6-1 late in the third period, Toledo's Cody Lampl, playing the part of Caped Crusader himself, dropped the gloves with Kevin Harvey playing the role of the enigma-loving supervillain.

Like always, Batman took a few punches, but earned the takedown at least. Crime never pays, Riddler.

All that was missing was the awesome punch graphics from the old TV show. (My personal favorite was always "BIFF!")

The jersey proceeds goes to three separate causes including the Muscular Dystrophy Association, March of Dimes and the Walleye Wishing Well. Luckily these guys didn't bleed all over the charity jerseys.

The Walleye held on for the 6-1 win.

Meanwhile, here's a look at Walleye goalie Jeff Lerg, who may have had Batman and Spiderman confused.
