Drew Carey Corporal, This was Drew when he would have gone by Corporal Carey. After leaving college, Carey enlisted into the United States Marine Corps Reserve in 1980 and served for six years.
According to a special pop-up episode of The Drew Carey Show, Carey received a perfect 300 PFT (physical fitness test) during his time meaning he was actually one of the most physically fit Marines in the Corps.
He adopted his crew cut hair style while serving in the United States Marine Corps. It is also my personal opinion that his choice in eyewear is also evolved from the famous BCG's commonly issued to those Marines suffering from various forms of visual impairment.
After and during his time in the Marines, Drew went on to stand-up comedy and went on to become the Drew we know and love.
