As I noted last week on my personal blog, a new poll revealed that 59% of Virginians are now accepting of same sex civil unions, although the state has not yet reached the tipping point of full same sex marriage. Long term, Cantor has placed himself on the wrong side of history.
Meanwhile, it's too bad that the women in these political marriages such as Diana Cantor are not the ones holding public office rather than their husbands. I suspect the nation and the world might be a better place.
