Decorating Your Thanksgiving Table, Thanksgiving will be here before you know it and if you’re hosting family and friends you’ll want to make sure your thanksgiving table is dressed to impress.
There are some things you can do right at home with your kids or grand-kids to decorate your table yourself.

1. Votives with cranberries and beans - A simple glass hurricane can become a fun, colorful seasonal detail to your Thanksgiving table if you fill it with beans and cranberries. Rest a plain candle in the middle and a beautiful accent to your holiday table is ready to glow.
2. Wrap silverware with sprig of rosemary and twine
3. Paper placemat with Things I’m Thankful for - . Rather than soil your best cloth placemats, why not use a piece of brown craft paper and a white paint pen to encourage people to record their list of Thanks for the season?
4. Pilgrim hat with crayons - If children are part of your Thanksgiving meal, then this simple pilgrim hat (construction paper wrapped around an inverted paper cup) provides a fun and festive cup for crayons to keep the children busy during the meal.
5. Pumpkins with flowers - Most Thanksgiving tables have a lovely centerpiece of flowers, but why not carve out a pumpkin and place your vase inside to add an extra autumnal detail?
6. Menu tucked into napkin - An artfully folded napkin is a great way to display the Thanksgiving menu. Sure, turkey is probably the entree, but why not highlight your grandmother’s string bean casserole or your cousins’ cornbread stuffing too?
7. Ombre napkins with “give thanks” written on top - Most home stores carry plain white napkins. It’s simpler than you think to use fabric dye to transform these basic white linens to colorful ombre beauties. Dip the bottom 2/3 of the napkin into your fabric dye and quickly remove (check label for instructions… each dye is slightly different). Then dip the bottom 1/3 into the fabric dye for a few minutes until the desired saturation is reached. Rinse, press and fold for Thanksgiving!
8. Pear place cards - Sometimes assigning seats is an important part of the Thanksgiving meal, and using simple objects from the grocery store can add a bit of whimsy… A hand printed place card tied around the stem of these pears is an edible way to set a fun holiday table!
