Pratt was crowned one of GQ's Men of the Year after starring in not one, but two of the biggest films of 2014, The Lego Movie, and Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy.
Guardians director James Gunn accepted the "Hollywood Blockbuster Award" alongside Pratt at the Hollywood Film Awards November 14. During his acceptance speech, Gunn described Pratt as a former "chubby sitcom sidekick."
Pratt shed an impressive 60 lbs. in preparation for his Marvel role, a stark contrast to his usually pudgy character, Andy Dwyer, in Parks and Recreation. Wife Anna Faris told ET at the Guardians premiere in July that it's tough to decide which Chris she likes better!
"On one hand, I love to cook for him," Faris told ET. "On the other hand, he looks really sexy with those abs"Well, the abs are here to stay! He reassured GQ "Fat Pratt" is gone for good telling the mag, "I'm done with that."
With all his career momentum, why stop now? We’ll see more Chris Pratt for years to come – he’s set to star in Jurassic World out July 2015 (link), and will reprise his role in Guardians of the Galaxy in the sequel due out in May 2017.
GQ's Men of the Year issue hits stands November 25.
