Our source tells us that the main reason is that Chris and Gwyneth are “consciously uncoupled” and not divorced. Gwyneth is still a big part of Chris’ life, especially since they have two children, Apple, 10, and Moses, 8, together.
Chris is not really innocent in all of this and its a bit complicated,” our source says. “Though Gwyn has been the main problem of their relationship woes, Chris still wants to make it work with Gwyn and Jennifer. It wasn’t working with Gwyn, so when he started dating Jen it made Gwyn jealous and that is what made Gwyn come back into Chris’ life besides sharing children together.”
Our source goes on to say that Jennifer got fed up with his much time he spent talking to and about Gwyneth that she decided that she didn’t want to compete for his attention.
“When that happened, Jen was left on the back burner and they broke up and now Gwyn is back in the picture,” our source said. “But now Chris is realizing that the relationship with Gwyneth is forever strained and that he has lost something special with Jen and now wants her back. It is a pretty crazy turn of events. If he didn’t play this game he would have still had Jen but it looks like he has lost her forever.”
Gwyneth Flirted Like Crazy With Chris After His Split With Jennifer
Gwyneth and Chris both attended the amfAR Gala, Oct. 29 in LA and an insider at the event told us that they were “acting like a couple.”
“They were acting like a couple, there didn’t seem to be one shred of awkwardness between them,” our source says. “Gwyneth was extremely flirty and Chris was totally adoring, we all got the impression they are together again. She didn’t bring a date, Chris was her date for the night and it just seemed like old times.”Gwyneth took the stage and introduced Chris before his performance and she called him “father of the year.”
“This brilliant singer-songwriter has sold 8 million records,” she said. “Has won every single award that there is to be won, especially Father of the Year, which he has won consecutively since 2004,” Paltrow said. “I am speaking of Chris Martin and the incredibly talented Jonny Buckland, who together make up one-half of the legendary band Coldplay.”
Meanwhile, Jennifer was spotted at Chris’ Malibu beach house, Oct. 30, for over two hours. It’s unclear if Chris was home before he headed to a Halloween party later in the night.
