B**** I'm a fan!' Hot In Cleveland star Valerie Bertinelli says Christina Aguilera gave her the 'cold shoulder' during chance encounter, Valerie Bertinelli has opened up about a less than pleasant encounter with Christina Aguilera that occurred a number of years ago.
On Wednesday, during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, the 54-year-old Hot In Cleveland actress gave her side of the story regarding her alleged 'feud' with the singer.
'Valerie, it's said that you had a feud with Christina Aguilera,' the show's host Andy Cohen asked. 'What was that about?'
'I didn't have a feud with her,' Valerie began. 'I was a fan at that time - a long time ago - and I went up to her 'cause she was at a Van Halen concert, and I said, "Oh my god, I think you're a beautiful singer."'
She says Christina brushed her off and muttered, 'Yeah, whatever.''
'She gave me the cold shoulder,' Valerie recalled, 'and I thought,"B****, I'm a fan. You can't be nice to me?"''Bertinelli says she hasn't ran into Aguilera since, 'She might have gotten better. But I heard she hasn't.'
In a radio interview in 2008 Bertinelli previously discussed the interaction, revealing 'I met her, and she was so mean to me'.
'And I thought, 'You know what? Forget you! I don't need your new album!' What's up with that? She's too young to be blowing people off.'
As for Aguilera, she recently took time off from her position on reality signing competition The Voice to welcome her new daughter Summer Rain Rutler in August.
In October The Today Show host Carson Daly confirmed that Christina is ready to go back to work.
She will be returning to The Voice for season eight alongside Pharrell Williams, and long-time veterans Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.
The mother-of-two has also been working on her next studio album, a follow up to her 2012 album, Lotus.
