This is not catnip. This is pot!' Martha Stewart gives Meredith Vieira a pungent jar of herbs... but it doesn't go as planned, House-and-home guru Martha Stewart would never go anywhere without a gift for her host, and The Meredith Vieira show was no exception.

But Stewart's thoughtful gift of a homegrown jar of dried catnip did not go according to plan.  This is pot,' Vieira stated definitively, after taking a whiff. 'This is not catnip. This is pot.'

'I grow a plethora of catnip,' Stewart, 73, had told Vieira as the gift was revealed. After remarking on how much her cats would love the present, Meredith took a whiff for herself and came up with her new explanation for the present.

While the 60-year-old TV host was likely joking, she refused to back off that statement as the interview progressed.
For her part, Stewart seemed fine with carrying the marijuana joke forward. 'That is the one pot for your cat, and this is the one pot for you,' she said, handing Vieira the second wrapped jar.

The friendly and jokey nature of the interview only continued after that, with Meredith getting Martha to open up about dating Sir Anthony Hopkins many years earlier.

'All I could think of was Hannibal Lecter,' Stewart said of her dinner date with the Oscar-winning star of The Silence Of The Lambs.

Did you make out with him?' was all Vieira wanted to know after that. Martha Stewart did not provide an answer to this question.
