The wonder years cast then and now, Good Morning America got the cast of the Wonder Years back together on Monday, treating fans to a nostalgic group photo in the style of the 1960s-inspired TV series.
For the Instagram picture, which attracted more than 3,000 “likes”, the stars of the 90s comedy-drama recreated a promotional shot used during the show’s run from 1988-1993.
Fred Savage (who played Kevin Arnold), Danica McKellar (Winnie Cooper) and Josh Saviano (Paul Joshua Pfeiffer) also appeared on GMA to discuss making the show.
“I think the way that families have been portrayed on TV has evolved as we have,” said Savage, now 38.
“Ours was a very kind of nuclear, traditional family, but as families have changed, and they look different, they come together in different ways, I love that TV’s reflected that.
”
But he said there are things in the Wonder Years that families can still relate to today.
“Regardless of what your family looks like or how it’s been put together, I think you can find stuff to relate to in the show. Some things stay the same.”
