Mario Lopez Britney Spears Memoir, Mario Lopez teased fans in his recently published memoir “Just Between Us” when he revealed that he had a one-night stand with an unnamed “mega pop star.”
He told Ellen DeGeneres earlier this month that the sexy rendezvous happened many years ago in Las Vegas, but stopped short of revealing the mystery lady.
“I’m trying not to give too much away without giving too much away,” the 41-year-old actor and host told DeGeneres. “It was maybe six or seven years ago… eight years ago?”
Us Weekly recently reported that multiple sources confirmed that the unnamed “mega pop star” was none other than Britney Spears.
The “Extra” host told DeGeneres that he and his newly revealed mystery hook up remain “friendly” to this day. Last year, Lopez joined Spears onstage for the opening night of her Vegas residency, Britney: Piece of Me.
Going by Lopez’s timeline of six or seven (maybe eight) years ago, he and the “Toxic” singer were single at the time.
Spears, now 32, split from husband Kevin Federline in 2006, while Lopez was on a break from then-girlfriend Karina Smirnoff from 2006 to 2008.
This was a couple of years after his brief marriage to model Ali Landry, which he opened up about in his memoir.
Now, Lopez is married to Courtney Mazza and they have children Gia and Dominic, while Spears recently ended her relationship with David Lucado after finding out he had been unfaithful.
In his memoir, Lopez chronicled his life growing up in the spotlight and opened up about things that a lot of people didn’t know about – including that he could have had a baby at 15 years old.
“I’m just glad, thank God, TMZ and social media wasn’t around back then because things might have been different,” he told Fox News Latino. “I was younger and had a lot of fun, let’s just say.”
