Appearing on “Live!” Monday morning, Ripa dressed up as newly-wed Kim Kardashian for the talk show’s Halloween episode.
"I am in love with you, Kris Humphries Kardashian - this is like a honeymoon made in heaven," Ripa cooed to Lachey, who tottered around on stilts to mimic the NBA player's 6'9" frame.
"You just wait baby," responded Lachey.
If only they had.
Shortly after the morning talk show aired, Kardashian, 30, announced the end of her not-so-blissful 72-day marriage to Humphries.
Despite the bad news, Ripa was a dead ringer for Kardashian, with her extravagant white gown and bejeweled headpiece that held her dark wig in place. Lachey wore a replica of the white tux jacket and black pants Humphries wore on his wedding day.
While the audience loved their looks, Kardashian probably doesn't think it was funny.
She briefly dated the former 98 Degrees singer in 2006, just before his divorce to Jessica Simpson was finalized.
