The couple – who are among Hollywood's friendliest exes – learned they were officially divorced on Saturday, while "vacationing in Turks and Caicos" with their 2-year-old son, Noah Rev, says the source.
Henriquez, 28, filed for divorce in January, but she and Lucas have remained close friends throughout the split.
"The marriage is over, but they will still be there for each other," a source told PEOPLE shortly after their split went public. "They are very supportive of each other, especially as parents."
Indeed, after they signed their divorce papers in June to end their two-year marriage, they went out for a "celebratory dinner," said a source. The divorce wasn't finalized until the legal documents recently made their way through the New York state court system.
The Mysteries of Laura star, 42, told PEOPLE in June that he and Henriquez worked really hard "to find that friendship" in their changing relationship. "We're basically now at a point where we're co-parenting in a way that's thoroughly and amazingly enjoyable," he added.
"They look very happy, very loving and affectionate," says an observer who saw the exes vacationing in Turks and Caicos. "They seem to be having a totally relaxing time with their son."
The family traveled to Colombia to visit Henriquez's family shortly after they split in January and were spotted together at a dog park in N.Y.C. in April. On Mother's Day, Lucas took his soon-to-be-ex out to dinner and a movie.
"They're amazing co-parents right now, but there's still a lot of love between them," said a source at the time.
