While promoting his new self-help book Me, Inc.: Build an Army of One, Unleash Your Inner Rock God, Win in Life and Business, host Andrea Tantaros asked Simmons about a section of his book where he writes that women must choose between establishing a career and starting a family. Simmons recommends the former, since as Fox News writes, "women should assume men will abandon them and thus devote their early lives to making money to support themselves."
Simmons didn't back away from what he'd written. "This is a very complex and difficult question to answer so I'm going to put it as simply as possible. Women: Stop depending on men," Simmons said. "It's as simple as that. Imagine there are no men in life. Find out that thing that you're good for that makes the money and then get married and or have children from a position of strength." It's those kinds of views that gets the Black Lips to declare war on you.
It's been an especially opinionated year for Simmons as the Kiss bassist has come under fire for supporting Donald Sterling, declaring "rock is finally dead," making ill-advised comments about suicide that angered Nikki Sixx and telling immigrants to "learn to speak goddamn English."
