Beyonce braids 2014, Beyoncé and Rihanna are constantly going head-to-head (hair-to-hair?) for most mane changes in any given month. It seems like we can’t turn around without one of them sporting a pixie, wild curls, an intricate updo or a sleek bob. But Beyoncé may be pulling ahead in the best-tressed race this month with her latest look: A full head of long, elaborate braids.
Bey was snapped in N.Y.C. with husband Jay Z wearing her new ombré hip-length style, which she wore pulled to one side for a waterfall effect. Wondering how long it might take to transform Beyoncé’s hair into these braids? Writer/reporter Jackie Fields (who has tried the style herself) says “Unless she had, oh, I don’t know, 10 people working on it at once, her hair took hours. Mine took five!”
Jackie also suggests that Bey opted for the style because she might have a warm-weather vacation coming up (after all, the last time she rocked these locks was on an anniversary trip with Jay to Cuba — and her sister Solange favors them for beach and boat trips as well). “It’s just so easy breezy,” Jackie explains. “If she’s hopping on a yacht to some hot spot, this is a no brainer.”
Which leads us to wonder: Is Beyoncé getting prepped for a trip to Paris and Florence to witness the nuptials of another celeb power couple? Did Jay promise her a yacht trip around the Mediterranean if she didn’t upstage the bride? Is Kim even letting anyone in the door who doesn’t have regulation Kardashian bombshell waves?
