Girl Obama Beyonce

Girl Obama Beyonce, President Obama and Michelle Obama went to the Inspired Teaching School public charter school on Thursday, doing public service as part of September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance. As the Washington Post's Juliet Eilperin noted earlier today, one sixth grader predicted that another famous person would be stopping by their school.

Then a sixth-grader named Madison, standing next to the president in the assembly-line style operation, broke the news to him that she had been informed an important guest was going to join the activity, and she “thought it would be Beyonce.”

“Then I realized it was gonna be you,” she added.

Everyone laughed, and Obama responded, "Malia and Sasha would feel the same way." Madison quickly followed up by saying that a presidential visit was "even better."

"I appreciate you saying that in front of the press, even though it's not really true," Obama said, while continuing to fill backpacks with books and toys.

Michelle Obama then joked, "I'd rather see Beyonce."Beyonce has made surprise visits to schools before. In 2011, she stopped by a school in Harlem as part of the first lady's "Let's Move" campaign.
