Al Gore Daughter Marry, Larry Nimmer was just sitting at his local coffee shop, working on a new project for his website, EveryoneHasAStory.org, when he saw what looked like the beginning of a wedding processional: A father walking his daughter down the aisle to her groom, patiently waiting underneath a giant pine tree.
Suddenly, he recognized the father of the bride.
“I saw a familiar face in the crowd. I was trying to figure out who was that and I realized it was Al Gore,” Nimmer told CNN iReport.
The former U.S. vice president’s daughter, Sarah, married Patrick Maiani, a Santa Barbara real estate agent, under the Wardholme Torrey pine tree -- the largest Torrey pine in the world. The tree is located just outside the Lucky Llama coffee shop in Carpinteria, California.
“I‘d never seen a wedding under that tree. I was also surprised a famous person was doing a rustic wedding,” Nimmer said.
After the Sunday morning wedding ceremony, the group went to nearby Crushcakes & Café for the reception, according to CNN.
“They had placed the cake order, but we didn’t know it was Al Gore’s daughter until they got there,” store manager Mayra Juarez told CNN iReport.
