Michael Landsberry tried to get shooter to put gun down, A horrible school shooting back in October left a beloved teacher dead. He sacrificed himself and may have saved many lives. Two other students were injured in the incident and the gunman killed himself.
Michael Landsberry affectionately know to some of his students as Batman literally put himself between the gunman and a student whom the gunman had pointed the gun at and tried to talk him down.
As a member of the Nevada Air National Guard and someone who had served in Afghanistan he was trained to help. He could have hid or gotten out of the way but he tried to save others and lost his own life.
