Jack black the brink, HBO’s “The Brink” has found two leading men, tapping Jack Black and Tim Robbins to star in the dark comedy.
Project, which currently has a pilot order at the pay TV net, centers on a geopolitical crisis and its effect on three disparate and desperate men.
Black will play Alex Coppins, a lowly Foreign Service officer reluctantly caught on the ground in the middle of it all, and Robbins will play Walter Hollander, the U.S. Secretary of State who has big appetites and little patience for the war mongers in the Situation Room.
Duo will also receive producer credits on “The Brink.”
Roberto Benabib and Kim Benabib serve as scribes on the pilot. Roberto Benabib is exec producing alongside Jerry Weintraub and Jay Roach, with Kim Benabib co-exec producing. Roach will also helm the pilot.
