Courtney Stodden On Marriage Split: ‘I Wanted My Freedom, Courtney Stodden is opening up on why she split from husband, Doug Hutchison.
“I couldn’t neglect my desires and wanting to embrace my independence and freedom,” the buxom teen bride told E! News Friday.
Wearing head-to-toe body glitter (go figure!) and the brightest of red lipsticks, Stodden added that she’s “feeling good” about her decision even though “any breakup is stressful.”
Stodden was 16 when she married Hutchison, 35 years her senior, in 2011.
Stodden revealed she began feeling differently about Hutchison when she went to the U.K. to appear on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year.
“I missed him but not intimately,” she confessed.Still, Stodden knows that many fans are skeptical and believe their split — Radar broke the news the pair had gone their separate ways — is totally for PR.
“This is not a stunt,” Stodden insisted.
