‘Wild & Crazy Kids’ Host Omar Gooding Charged With DUI, Marijuana Possession, Wild & Crazy Kids host Omar Gooding has been charged with DUI and marijuana possession following his arrest last month. The 36-year-old was arrested in Los Angeles August 20 after police pulled him over for running a stop sign.

After approaching Gooding’s car, police believed the actor — who is the younger brother of Cuba Gooding Jr. — was under the influence of alcohol and marijuana. Officers also found marijuana in his possession. Gooding has since been charged with DUI and marijuana possession. While jail time is possible, he will likely get probation and have to pay a fine. He is due back in court later this month.

Omar Gooding was the host of Nickelodeon’s Wild & Crazy Kids from 1990 to 1992. The game show consisted of head-to-head physical challenges in a number of sports and playground games with unusual rules added. One challenge was a game of Red Light/Green Light where, if a child was caught trying to move after “red light” was called, they would have to hit themselves with a pie. If the child made the goal, they hit one of their parents with the pie.

Another challenge was Tug of War, which pitted three professional wrestlers against a team of kids. Gooding is also known for his roles on Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper, Smart Guy, and ESPN’s Playmakers. Gooding also played Odell in the third season of HBO’s Deadwood. In 2005, he played the lead role of Calvin Palmer Jr. in Showtime’s Barbershop: The Series.

The series was based on the 2002 film of the same name, and the role of Calvin was originally played by Ice Cube. He also appeared on the “Superfreak” episode of Grey’s Anatomy. Omar Gooding also had a guest appearance on independent rapper C-Bo’s song “No Warning,” which featured Young Buck and Big O.
