Wes Welker admits to dressing as Britney Spears for high school pep rally, Dan Hellie, host of NFL Total Access, dug into Oklahoma City star Wes Welker's prankster days.

In an interview Tuesday, Hellie asked Welker about dressing up as pop star Britney Spears during a pep rally at Heritage Hall High School in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Welker was a football star at the school from 1996-2000, including a championship year in 1998. He laughed and reluctantly admitted to the prank.

“Gosh, I’d love to say false there, but I did,” Welker said. “I’d love to say false, but they have me on video. I’ve already bought them off, so you won’t be seeing that anytime soon.”

The story came up earlier this year, when one of Welker's former teachers mentioned the skit.

"He was a superstar in the homecoming pep assembly lip sync contest in his senior year," said Welker's former teacher Betsy Horn. "He was a backup dancer. Probably the one that brought the house down with his portrayal of Britney Spears."

Horn also said that he was a hit performing Christina Aguilera's "Genie In A Bottle." That video has not surfaced... yet.
