Romney forgets number of grandchildren, latest named ‘Black’ in Gaelic, Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has a large family. Five married sons have blessed the former Massachusetts governor with 23 grandchildren.

But it seems he has only counted 22 of them.

Romney wrote in a tweet on Friday that his son Ben and daughter-in-law Andelyne adopted a baby boy according to the Huffington Post.

Our 22nd grandchild was officially adopted today: Kieran James Romney.

The boy, Kieran is technically the Romney’s 23rd grandchild.

Son Josh and his wife Jennifer gave birth to the 22nd member of the crew in July and were also congratulated via Twitter.

Our Josh and Jen also had a new baby boy yesterday. @AnnDRomney and I feel royally blessed. #22 pic.twitter.com/y8buqul6p6

Either the politician and businessman made a typo or he could not keep track of the growing amount of Romney babies.

Media and internet researchers noticed that Kieran is Gaelic for black or “little dark one”. The picture shows that Kieran Romney is dark-skinned.

Romney lost the 2012 Presidential election to current President Barack Obama.

He came under fire during his campaign for speaking against people who rely on government housing and other programs for people with lower incomes as well as comments about women during debates.

Mitt Romney and his wife Ann recently started building a home in Utah in May where his sons Josh and Ben live.
