The actor told Elle magazine, “I have the greatest workout partner in the world. And you don’t need a gym membership for that kind of workout.”
But, on Tuesday, Olivia told Access Hollywood that people shouldn’t take his words at face value.“He’s a comedian. People forget,” she told Access on Tuesday at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s 2013 Installation Luncheon at The Beverly Hilton Hotel. “He’s joking and I think he was misquoted and it got put around everywhere.
“It was a joke. We make jokes,” she added. “We make a lot of jokes.”Olivia added the couple may want to bring props next time they are doing interviews.
“We should wave a sarcasm flag next time,” she smiled. Olivia has a new film on the way – “Rush,” about 70s-era Australian Formula 1 driver Niki Lauda (“Thor’s” Chris Hemsworth plays the racer) and she’s very proud of the piece.
“’Rush’ is a beautiful film and I’m so excited to be a part of it,” she said.Olivia also has her indie comedy “Drinking Buddies” – with “New Girl’s” Jake Johnson, as well as Anna Kendrick and Ron Livingston, out now.
“It’s really funny and organic and I’m just so proud,” she told Access.
“Rush” is due in theaters on September 27.
