Johnny Depp admits he’s a fan of Honey Boo Boo, Superstar Johnny Depp admits he’s frightened by the denizens of low-rent reality show, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. The Lone Ranger star told showbiz gabfest Extra that he’s torn by the show and its pudgy prima donna.

“I’m a little frightened of the show,” Depp told Extra. “They’re probably great people, but there are bits that happen that just I am mesmerized by.”

But if pushed, the actor— who’s now dating Rum Diary co-star Amber Heard — will confess that he’s a fan of Honey Boo Boo and its seven-year-old star, Alana Thompson.

Depp also told Rolling Stone magazine that he is at the point in his career where he’s considering retirement “every day” and just wants to concentrate on “living life.”

“I really do love making characters and making movies,” he told Extra. “Yeah, I mean sometime in the next 10 years, you probably just want to kind of be able to look around a little more, wander a bit and maybe experience some degree of anonymity somewhere.”
