John Paul II "Let me go to the house of the Father.”

John Paul II "Let me go to the house of the Father, There was much speculation in past decades over how some pontiffs died and what caused their end.

The Vatican released the detailed official report on John Paul's last weeks, in an effort to dismantle any doubts about how forthcoming it has been about his illness and April 2 death. This is said to be an unprecedented move, as the death of a pope has always been kept indoors.

The report preserves in a new 220-page volume the last two months of the late pontiff's life.
According to the documents released by the Vatican. Pope John Paul II's last words before his death were "let me go to the house of the Father"; they were spoken in native Polish, six hours before the time of death.

The book, which has entries in chronological order, starting in 31 January, the day the Holy See announced the pope's audiences were being suspended due to illness, will be made available for sale shortly, as a supplement to the Vatican's official journal, Acta Apostolicae Sedis.
